Contractors Development Institute (CDI) is a constituent unit of National Academy of Construction (NAC) parented by Builders Association of India, A.P. Centre. CDI is a unique training institute in entire Asia established in the year 1999, to train contractors, builders, engineers, architects, technical, non-technical staff and new aspiratns of construction business in disciplines of managerial, financial, contractural, techno-logical and commerical etc. The CDI striving hard to professionalize the construction industry by providing perennial capacity building processes such as diversified training programmes, workshops, seminars, conference etc, to all the stake holders of construction industry. CDI has trained more than 5000 candidates in the above areas from the day of its inception.

The institute has ventured in to training of need of the hour areas of industry i.e. green building technologeis and management practices, affordable housing and infrastructure, latest trends international construction business etc. The institute conducted and conducting many workshops and seminars on burning problems like VAT (Sales Tax on work Contract), Provident Fund, ESI, Labor laws, Contract Act, Arbitration and latest technology in construction industry from time to time.

Future Internation Events

1. The CDI is on the steering committee of Green Building Congress 2009 (International Conference & Exhibition on Green buildings) which is organized by CII-Sohrabji Godrej green business centre to be held during 9-12 September 2009 in Hyderabad.

2. CDI is co-sponsoring the International Conference on Multi Layered Citites & Urban Systems to be at Hyderabad during 30th July - 10 August 2009. The organizers for the event are Department of Geography, Centre for Indian Ocean Studies (CIOS), Urban Geography Commission 2008-2012 of International Geographical Union (IGU)

3. CDI has putting effords to start a centre for Green Construction Technologies and Management Practices.
