The National Academy of Construction (NAC) has
emerged as an apex body for development of all
types of construction resources, technologies
and methodologies for fast track completion of
projects. Registered as a “Society” and
incorporated as a “Public Charitable”
institution in September 1998, it is managed by
a Board of Governors with the Hon’ble Chief
Minister of Andhra Pradesh being its Chairman.
The
mission of NAC is to develop a technologically
advanced and competitive construction industry
which serves India’s economic needs. To
achieve this, NAC runs various training courses
and programs of relevance to the construction
industry. Training of construction technicians
and supervisors is a part of the activities of
the NAC.
In
addition, various up gradation courses are also
offered to meet the requirements of engineers,
contractors, managers, supervisors and workers.
Manned by a group of eminent engineers and
managers with significant academic achievements
and field experience, NAC delivers comprehensive
training packages, sensitive to the needs of the
profession.
Spread
over 61.940 acres of primeland in Cyberabad,
allotted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh,
NAC conducts all construction related training
programmes under one “umbrella”.
NAC
has also facilitated the establishment of the
Hyderabad International Trade Exposition Center
Ltd.(HITEX). Spread over 70.221 acres
HITEX has been designed on the lines of the Düsseldorf
Exhibitions as Public Private Participation
under Build, Own and Operate (BOO) scheme.
In addition to this NAC has
established an Equipment Leasing Bank in
association with the Indian Infrastructure
Equipment Ltd. (IIEL). NACIEL helps the small
and middle grade contractors to make use of the
equipment to meet their specialized and general
requirements.
