The Institute of Architecture & Design has been established to promote Architectural Education and Practice ranging from Environmental Design and Planning. The Intitute is parented by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad and aims to impart knowledge and skills through appropriate training programme, research, workshops and seminars supported by visiting/guest faculty, library, audio visuals and field visits.
The Institute of Architecture & Design offers the following course.
1. Architectural Assistant ship: Duration: 3 1/2 Months Course
Eligibility:Intermediate with MPC/MEC or Any graduate (Pass or Fail)
With the rapid growth of the construction industry there is a great need of trained people who can understand, interpret and make detailed drawings of architectural designs both manually and using computer. In this program the candidates will be trained about different types of drawings like plans, elevations, and sections of variety of buildings and also site plans and location plants, They will also be trained in calculating various areas to calculate their built up areas and prepare documents. The trainee will be introduced to computer aided drafting using AutoCAD the most popular software application. At the end of the three and half months training prgramme, the trainee will be able to do the following.
1. Make accurate drawings according to scale as given by the consultant.
2. Calculates areas, and make Manual drawings.
3. Manually Draft architectural drawings of building plan, elevations and section.
4. Draft all the abovein AutoCAD 2006. After this course, the trainee will be able to help
Consultants/Architects by drawing plan elevations and sections of various buildings and will also be able to do detailing for various areas like kitchen, shops, cabinets for various uses etc., The trainees will be assisted in placements.
