TRAINING DEPARTMENT-NAC
The core activity of NAC is Training Professional Engineers, Supervisors, Architects, Contractors and Tradesmen in the construction industry.
The Training Department in particular provides training at a higher level. The department has on its roles widely experienced personnel. They are:

Regular Programmes
Training Department is conducting regular training programmes for the in-service engineers of Government, Semi-Government and Major Contracting firms. The programme content is designed keeping in view the needs of the agency/department. Some of the topics covered are:

Natioal Adacemy of Construction training programmes not only in its campus at Hyderabad but also all over India for the convenience of clients. NAC training department is maintaining data on experienced and knowledgeable faculty located throughout, India, in addition to the in-house faculty. Training department coordinates all the training activities of the constituent units. Organizes seminars, conferences, workshops, internal competency development programmes regularly. These programmes encompass a plethora of topics like latest construction material, equipment, new methodologies, techniques, health and safety of wokers and such subjects that are relevant to the practicing engineers. Training department arranged such programmes also for the engineers of other countries.
Some of the agencies who depute their engineers for training at NAC are Military Engineering Services, Directorate General Border Roads, Roads & Buildings Dept, Panchayat Raj Engineering Dept, Irrigation & Cad Department. Out reach programmes for fresh engineers group and orientation programmes for newly recruited engineers both in the public of private sectors.
Training department also assists state government agencies in fromulating operation and training manual on construction workers safety and welfare issues. NAC nominee is also represented on the National Council for Vocational Training

Training Dept manages the following areas of NAC
QUALITY MONITORING CELL (QMC)
As quality of training is given prime importance, NAC has established a quality monitoring cell with officers having varied experience. The primary objective of QMC is to maintain high standards by timely intervention and finding the ways and means to rectify the situation.
Functions of QMC
Monitoring training related activities at centers including infrastructure and stores, selection of candidates, course content, mock structure, toolkit, uniform, certification, placement etc.facilitate quality delivery, proper upkeep and maintenance of records at centers, ensure smooth flow of communication between HQ and centers, review and suggest improvements for better utilization of manpower and equipment, provide clarifications to centers as and when required particularly with SDI/ MES programmes.
 TRAINING OF TRAINERS CELL (TOT CELL
TOT Programmes are aimed at complimenting the knowledge of trainers’ NAC faculty constantly up grade their skills through sustained interaction with the industry&TOTprogrammes in relevant areas of work .It has been carefully planned to spur the professional growth of the trainers. The flexible schedule enables them to pursue the training without interrupting their professional activities.
The faculty members from the regional centres are sent to NAC Head Quarters. The TOT is conducted once in a month in the second week. It’s a week long programme conducted for Assistant Directors, Instructors and Demonstrators.

MES SCHEME
NAC has been registered as vocational training provider (VTP) under Modular Employable Skills Scheme and received the certificate of registration from the Director General Employment and Training, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Govt. of India. The certificates for the successful trainees will be issued by the DGET in the selected trades .The certificate is valid through out the world and therefore affords greater opportunity and employability to the NAC trainees. At present NAC is conducting training in 29 modules under MES Scheme through out Andhra Pradesh.

OMCAP PROGRAMMES AT NAC 

 OMCAP (Overseas Man Power Company, Andhra Pradesh) is a recruiting agency launched by the Govt. of A.P., and operates under the approval issued by the Protector General of Emigrants, Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, New Delhi.  The main objective of the company is to help the overseas job aspirants  from the exploitation of unauthorized and unscrupulous placement agencies NAC has tied up with OMCAP in the month of July 2007 for providing training including lodging and boarding to construction technicians placed abroad by OMCAP.  NAC conducts 10-Day orientation-cum-skill up-gradation training for the candidates sent by OMCAP and certificates of OMCAP with training provider NAC signature will be issued to the trainees after training.  Trainees will be trained in different trades at CTTI for ten days. Syllabus of technical subjects is planned basing on the skill level of the trainees and soft skills Syllabus is provided by the OMCAP.

CONSULTANCY SERVICES
National Academy of Construction [NAC], the apex body in offering training in construction technicians’ courses, is unique in its status being numero uno in the country.    It  has of late been approached by many  State Governments  for providing technical guidance and consultancy services to  either replicate NAC in their State  or  for conducting a series of Programmes  focusing  on  Construction  Related  activities.  
As  partners in the progress of  Nation, NAC has ventured into this activity of consultancy to lend a supporting hand to other State Governments  by    undertaking  such projects   thus  becoming a  partner in helping   the deprived  people  across the Nation  by assisting them obtain gainful employment.   
As a sequel, it has entered into an MOU with the Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Government of Chhattisgarh for providing technical guidance and consultancy services to replicate NAC Model in their State.  Many more are in the pipeline. 

Computer course
Basic computer knowledge is the necessity of any profession .providing basic computer knowledge for all the trades is a critical feature of all NAC centres and excelled in moulding many professionals at 17 computer centres including physically challenged to meet the competencies of the modern world.
NAC has also taken up the initiative to provide basic knowledge of computer to police personnel .In this regard it started 41 computer centres through out AP.The exercise is aimed at refreshing and fine tuning the skills of police personnel including the ranks of constables to higher officials.
Certification: will be done by NAC who got 80%attendance in the course duration.

PLACEMENT CELL (PC)
Providing placement is paramount in the training activity. An independent placement cell was formed in the year 2007 at NAC .The cell is headed by the Director-PC and assisted by a Dy Director and a Jr Asst.
Functions of PC
The cell collects the addresses of firms, companies, builders, contractors, with phone numbers and credibility of takers, detailed information about the training programmes from all the centres of NAC, invites the firms, companies, builders, contractors for the selection of the candidates through interviews at NAC centres.Interactive meeting is arranged between recruiters and trainees to clear the work details .Placement is provided on willingness of the trainees.

3rd party QC/QA Activities of NAC
National academy Of Construction is performing 3rd party QC/QA for the following works :
1. performance of 3rd party QC/Assurance  of all civil works of spill way and its connected works near polavaram /west godavari Dst. On Indira Sagar Project.
2. Performance of 3rd party QC/Assurance  of all civil works of connectivity on right and left sides of  River Godavari like construction of tunnels, Head Regulator ,off-take regular saddle dams ,exit and entry channels ,buds ,Navigation like and canal open cuts etc., near polavaram.
3. Consultancy services for 3rd party quality control on construction of IIIT buildings at Basara Adilabad District, Nuziveed Krishna District and RK Valley (Idupulapaya) kadapa District.
4. Construction of buildings, Infrastructure for educational, residential, semi-residential, non-residential and recreation sectors at Yogi vemana University Campus, Vemanapuram, Kadapa Dst.
